Listing Freshness

A listing’s freshness will decrease over time and is most fresh when initially posted. The longer your listing has been on the site the lower its freshness will be. There are two ways in which you can increase the listing’s freshness:

  • Reposting a listing costs 2 Credits. Reposting a listing updates the post date and indicates to renters that the listing is still on the market. It will also boost the HopScore so that your listing appears higher in the search results. We recommend reposting between 3 to 5 times per week, depending on how competitive the neighborhood is, to keep your listing high in the search results and therefore generate more leads.
  • Featuring a listing costs 20 Credits. Featuring a listing updates the post date and ensures that it will rank highly in search results for up to seven days. When you feature a listing, your HopScore will not decrease at the same rate just posting or reposting will, and it stays higher in the search results for a longer period of time.

    Reposting on RealtyMX vs. Reposting on RentHop

    Keep in mind that RentHop and the syndication service you use (whether it’s RealtyMX, Nestio, OLR, or your internal feeding system) are different systems. For you to repost your RentHop listings, you must log in to your RentHop account and manually repost the listings.
