DESCRIPTION
Listing description:
Enjoy everything that Greenwich Village has to offer with this charming furnished studio apartment! Available for immediate occupancy!

This is a lease takeover for the rest of my lease, which ends at the end of March 2021. The building is offering the ability to extend the lease to May 31, 2020 (perfect for NYU students!). Or keep the current lease and have the option to renew (in which case you will be off-cycle!).

Very well-maintained doorman and elevator building in Greenwich Village - an incredibly rare find! The building has a gym as well as laundry in the basement. The apartment is on the 8th floor and remains very quiet and peaceful, with no street noise.

The apartment is a well-kept studio with very high ceilings and huge oversized windows. The main room has beautiful wood flooring and plenty of space for both the queen size bed and a full living room setup. Kitchen has granite countertops, a full-size fridge, and an oven. Bathroom is beautiful with white subway tile and a full-size tub/shower with excellent water pressure. Walk-in closet is HUGE.

The location is incredible - on a quiet and very safe tree-lined block in Greenwich Village, and a two-minute walk to Washington Square Park, and a 10-15 minute walk to everything downtown has to offer: West Village, East Village, Union Square, Soho, and Flatiron.  You are surrounded by award-winning restaurants, shopping, and within a 5 minute walk of multiple major subway lines (A/C/E, B/D/F/M, N/R/Q). This particular block was recently written about in the NYTimes: https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2020/04/13/t-magazine/ninth-street-greenwich-village-neighbors.html -- there is no better location in the city!

I am offering this apartment furnished - you can move in right away and not have to worry about a thing! All of these furnishings will be yours to keep! Furnishings in the apartment include:
-queen size bed with queen-size Casper mattress
-two nightstands
-two large dressers
-32 inch television
-full living room setup including couch, two armchairs, coffee table, end table, and carpet
-air purifier
-window air conditioning unit
-tower fan
-various lamps
-full kitchen setup, including plates, bowls, glasses, wine glasses, cups, and small kitchen appliances, including blender, food processor, toaster oven, microwave, rice cooker, and also oven baking pans, as well as 4 pots/pans for cooking
-shower curtain
-shelving unit and shoe rack in closet
-lots of hangers
-various decor items

Application fee will be waived, and there is no broker fee. No board approval is required. Apartment is available immediately for occupancy. Building allows pets. In case you are moving in additional large furniture and need to use the service elevator, there is a $500 move-in fee, of which $250 will be returned.

Apartment is available to view anytime.

GREENWICH VILLAGE

Greenwich Village is the hip spot every artist, actor, and activist dream of living in. From 14th to Houston, hugged by the Hudson River and Broadway, this area is extremely popular with NYU students, faculty, and young professionals. The establishments here are popular with every New Yorker and visitor, meaning there's always something to do in this trendy neighborhood.

Fun Facts and History of Greenwich Village

Greenwich Village was not originally part of New York City. Dutch Settlers and a formerly enslaved black population, liberated after the first legal protest to take place in America, used the land for tobacco farms. After New Netherlands was conquered by the British in 1664, they left Greenwich as its own hamlet, separate from New York City.

The name "Greenwich" first appears in NYC city records in 1713, meaning it was likely incorporated into the rest of the city around that time. After the American Revolution, Greenwich was the site of multiple city facilities such as…
