Sebastien has enjoyed calling New York City home for over 18 years, the past 14 of which have been in Hamilton Heights in upper Manhattan. Originally from Paris, France, he holds a degree in Marketing from ICD in Paris, a Bachelors in Media Studies and Documentary Filmmaking from Hunter College in NYC, and a Masters in International Affairs with a focus in Media and Human Rights from The New School, NYC.

Sebastien has a great interest in a variety of cultural activities ranging from film and dance to Chelsea galleries. He has supported various cultural organizations, plus co-funded and served as media director for the dance company "Bryon Carr Dance" with choreographer Bryon Carr from 2001 to 2006. Sebastien also feels strongly about human rights and social justice. As such, he has volunteered for the LGBT homeless shelter Ali Forney. He has traveled the world extensively, plus lived in France, South Africa, India and Brazil.
