Jamal brings a long and successful history of sales and customer service to the world of real estate. Prior to joining Corcoran, he spent several years catering to the luxury patrons of Ralph Lauren's mens flagship, where he was one of the top retail sales professionals in the company. Drawing on his experience in luxury menswear, he went on to found a partnership with Bocache & Salvucci in Italy to create bespoke clothing and footwear for his clients in New York and around the world. Jamal believes the customer experience is of the utmost importance and strives not only to close the deal, but to also ensure that the client is completely satisfied and that his relationship with them extends beyond the transaction.
Jamal employs a "listen first" approach in his relationships with clients. For only after listening and fully understanding the client's needs can the search for the home of their dreams begin. His experience as a semi-professional soccer player, as well as his work in the entertainment world has shown him the value of working with a strong team where everyone's individual strengths can be utilized to accomplish a common goal. He recognizes that his commitment to his clients should always be matched with first-class communication to ensure a full understanding of the client's needs.
A graduate of Wake Forest University and prior resident of Los Angeles, Philadelphia, and Florence, Italy, Jamal has been a denizen of Manhattan for over 20 years, he brings a personal touch and cosmopolitan approach to his work. He believes the real estate experience should be as fun and low-stress as possible.
An avid traveler, Jamal enjoys exploring and learning from people of different cultures and backgrounds. He finds that an open mind and a willingness to learn from others keeps him closely attuned to his clients' needs. His time living in Italy deeply informed his personal aesthetic and eye for detail; in fact, his appreciation of art and architecture is one of the reasons he was drawn to the real estate profession.
While he has traveled the world, New York is still Jamal's first love. He remains fascinated by the fact that in a city so public, he finds immense joy in uncovering the hidden jewels that lie behind its walls. He speaks Italian and resides in downtown Manhattan.
