I initially contacted Jerry through the NYU housing website to visit some of his apartments. My case was slightly complicated because I am an international student and I have no guarantors. He asked me the right questions, and met with me to show me some places. Both times he was ready and prepared, and showed me exactly what I asked of him in terms of price, size, location. He didn't try to show me other areas, or to convince me that I was wrong, etc.... He also explained to me how the NYC system works, what I would need in terms of documents, and what to expect in terms of price/neighborhood/size ratio. I stopped my search for a moment, and recontacted him later. This time, he connected me with Gabrielle, who took over the search. Gabrielle was as awesome as he was! She also showed me what I had asked for in terms of price, and we visited different neighborhoods. In the end, she helped me find the right apartment that fit exactly what I wanted (even a fan for the stove) and I couldn't be happier.
The two of them form an admirable team, and I would recommend them to anyone without a doubt. - especially international students, as it can be especially hard for them to find a place. Over the month that I looked for places, I never felt as if they were trying to pressure me or ridicule me as I have heard other people say of brokers. It was definitely a great experience working with them.
