Originally from Haiti by way of Miami, Daphnee has lived in New York for over a decade. She has shown her creative and entrepreneurial side as founder of a company focused on importing original art, jewelry and accessories handmade by Haitian artists. In the summer of 2013, Daphnee served as a guide and translator for volunteers of Soleil Global, a sustainable energy project that distributes solar-powered lights in Haiti. During that trip, she took great pride in coordinating the distribution of 4500 lanterns to Haitian households.
