Cynthia has had a long-running love affair with cities. She attained a master's degree in urban studies and now practices her true passion: Real Estate.
As a savvy young investor in the early 2000's she amazed people around her with a keen eye for spotting undervalued properties. While studying for her Ph.D. at the University of Miami, in Florida she became an investor and believer in the potential of Miami's scruffy downtown neighborhoods. She even hosted a bilingual talk radio show called Urban Vision that explored the process of buying and selling real estate for novices. Today, the zip code in Miami where she invested 16 years ago is considered one of the most luxurious places to live in that global city.
In 2006, as a young mother, she set off (pushing a stroller) in search of her next investment. Cynthia is a listener, an avid student of neighborhood history and her gut told her that sleepy Windsor Terrace was an undervalued gem and would become her next successful investment project. Once again, her intuition proved correct, and this Brooklyn neighborhood became one of the most desirable areas in the borough for families with home prices tripling in the past decade.
She loves dividing her time between her home base in New York and her hometown of South Florida where she still problem-solves for her tenants and wrangles contractors and construction projects for her investments. Cynthia brings with her an extensive database from her many years of working as an executive producer in live television. Her contacts include lawyers, mortgage brokers, architects as well as many other key pieces of the real estate puzzle that help to make any deal possible. She understands the importance of research, and of being patient and organized-not to mention being prompt to appointments.
Cynthia is a world-traveler, a Ph.D. student of international comparative studies, and is fluent in Spanish and English-- which make her an excellent candidate for clients with an international background. Plus, she already has plans of investing in the future in her country of origin: Cuba...so stay tuned!
