Chris Mezera was born and raised in Ocean County, New Jersey down by the famous, and now infamous, Jersey Shore. In 1995, he moved to New York City to attend New York University and upon graduation from the Stern School of Business he knew that the "corporate world" was definitely not for him.Chris spent the next 10 years of his life pursuing a music career as the singer/songwriter with the band Pure Dream Ladder playing shows in famous venues in New York, Los Angeles and London.
As most actors and musicians do in New York City, Chris first started out waiting tables at some of New York's most well-known food establishments only one day to realize that more money, freedom and flexibility was to be found in New York City's Real Estate industry. So in the Spring of 2002, Chris embarked on his Real Estate career while still pursuing his life-long dream of recording and playing music professionally. What happened next was a huge surprise to Chris, his boss at his real estate firm and his fellow co-workers.After only his first 3 weeks in the real estate business, Chris became one of the top producers at his real estate firm for his entire tenure in NYC and holds monthly sales records that still stand to this day.
Chris quickly saw more than 75% of his monthly business coming from referrals, which is unheard of in the real estate world in any market. Through his referrals Chris landed relocation accounts with Nike, The Associated Press and The New York Times that have led to some incredible friendships that last to this day.
"One of my relocation clients and I became fast friends and I attended his wedding in Tuscany, Italy. That is one of the best things about this business, it's all about people and relationships."
In 2005, after over 3 ½ years in New York City Real Estate, Chris made the move to Los Angeles to pursue some music opportunities for his band.
At the same time he continued to work in one of the most prestigious real estate firms in Beverly Hills while rehearsing with his band in the same rehearsal studios as Coldplay, The Red Hot Chili Peppers and Maroon 5.
In 2008 Chris made a drastic turn in his life and went to work abroad at a service project where he worked mainly in child education and sustainable agriculture.
I think it goes without saying that the New York City Real Estate clients are happy to have Chris back as well.
