DESCRIPTION
Studio available dec 17

Subletter wanted for a Large Studio in the East Village/Union Square. 2-3 blocks from the convenience of Union Square and everything to love about living in the East Village.

Video Tour available upon request

Move in date is flexible - its available Dec 17th and the lease runs through the end of April. Rent is discounted to $2650 a month.

It is a friendly walk-up building with a great super. The apartment was renovated when I moved in 2.5 years ago. Through the front door is a small kitchen with tons of storage, microwave, gas stove/oven, and dishwasher. Down the hallway are two giant closets (each about 5.5 wide and very deep) with cabinets up to the 12ft ceilings. Hardwood floors throughout, aside from marble in the kitchen or bathroom.

The main room is giant- about 17x20- with three large windows on the far wall, so it is flooded with light in the afternoon (The photos were all taken in the early morning). There is another closet and storage to the ceiling and then the bathroom with a full wall of medicine cabinets.

Heat and Hot Water are included in the rent; electricity is about $45 a month and it's a Spectrum building. Laundry is in the basement of the building right around the corner.

I can leave it semi-furnished (Dresser, Lamps, Bar Cart, Curtains, Couch)

The East Village is a buzzing hub of youthful energy and activity, boasting bookstores, cafes, galleries, and hip bars. Situated between 3rd avenue and the East River, with 14th street to the north and Houston to the south, this neighborhood is both stylish and laid back. Once the most vibrant art scene in NYC, it remains a trendy neighborhood to the avant-garde while also boasting a much more polished edge, complete with luxury condos, franchised coffee shops, and plenty of lunch spots.

Fun Facts and History of East Village

Like most of New York, the East Village started out as farmland. Until the early 1960s, the East Village was just the northern tip of the Lower East Side, largely occupied by German and Ukrainian working class immigrants. However, the Beat movement made its roots in the East Village in the 1950's and paved the way for the influx of the counterculture scene of the 60s.

Since then, the art scene of the East Village exploded with series like Andy Warhol's…
