Dutch Street dates back to New York City’s earliest roots, within the Financial District’s River- lined confines. Early records reveal that the then- cobblestone toad first began appearing on maps in 1776, and officially received the name, Dutch” a decade later.
Dutch Street reflected this development accordingly, hosting a myriad of industries in an ever changing cycle of storefronts. William Colgate’s soap shop opened in 1806 at 6 Dutch Street and remained there for over a century, ultimately growing into what we know today as the globally- trusted Colgate Palmolive Company. The 1870’s, Dutch Street affiliated with the jewelry district and earned its nickname Diamond Curb”.
In 1908, a 12-story building was constructed on the northwest corner of Dutch and John Streets, known as the Frankel Building. For a time, the Frankel Building was perfectly positioned to host this luxury industry; accordingly to early records, the building’s top five floors welcomed a direct north lightarranged especially for diamond cutters and manufacturing jewelers.” Now with new renovations bringing new meaning to the building’s considerable history, as One Dutch.

Standing at the beginning of the block, One Dutch reintroduces the city to this short bock, reminding all of its story in the place of New York City’s ever-changing history. The boutique residences stand 14 stories tall, with completely renovated interiors and an impressive facade. The plentiful windows serve to both recall the time when jewelers sat in the well- lit top floors of the Frankel Building diligently cutting intricate diamonds to accommodate the booming luxury industry, as well as to provide the perfect vantage point for the future of the Financial District, which continues to emerge as a vibrant and emerged 24 hour- a day destination.
The completely renovated homes provide a breath of fresh air within the bustling Financial District. With ceiling heights ranging between 9 and 10 feet. The homes includes stunning Eco-Friendly Tuscany Floors and an HVAC system by Trane and York - testaments to its mission to retain luxury without sacrificing sustainability. With a masterfully designed layouts, the residences are comfortable and intimate.
The European kitchens feature only those high-end finishes and appliances that have become integral to a luxury Manhattan home. Appliance selections include a Bosch oven and dishwasher, a Summit refrigerator, and a GE range. Additional features include Calacatta Quartz countertops and backsplashes, Euro Mobil cabinetry and Danze faucets.
The impressive bathrooms are outfitted with European-style vanities and Aquadom countertops. Danze faucets, Toto toilets, and Zuma baths bring the utmost level of luxury to the spaces.
The Financial District today hosts luxury amenities including The Spa at Setai Club and Equinox, convenient travel hubs like the Fulton Center and Wall Street Station; world renowned retailers like Hermes, Tiffany, PINK, Saks Fifth Avenue, Michael Kors, and Stuart Weitzman; plus fine eateries including Capital Grill, Cipriani Wall Street, Nobu and Tom Colicchio and Keith McNally’s 5 Beekman Street restaurants.
