Shelley McCoy has transitioned into a real estate professional after many years as working as an educator and counselor. Shelley's decision to enter the field of real estate evolved from her life-long passion of studying real estate, attending open houses, decorating, and remodeling - plus her desire to be a part of a business that helps people achieve their real estate goals.
Shelley keeps current about neighborhood trends and the real estate market by reading various real estate publications, attending networking events and seminars. As a former educator and counselor, Shelley utilizes her talent for guiding clients through the New York real estate market, as well as her skill and experience in understanding and explaining contracts, negotiating, working with attorneys, and remaining calm under pressure.
Shelley bases her business on two core values: building client trust, confidence and sharing her passionate knowledge of New York real estate. She has earned the trust and respect of buyers, sellers and colleagues alike, and is highly regarded for her business acumen, work ethic and affable personality. As a homeowner and investor, Shelley knows that buying or selling a home can be stressful as well as exciting, so she lets her clients know that they can rely on her for being a good communicator and negotiator. She is a graduate of Ivy Real Estate School. She holds a BA from CUNY Brooklyn College and has three Masters degrees from Mercy College, Long Island University and CUNY Hunter College in the field of education.
Her passions extend beyond real estate, Shelley can be found in her kitchen baking delicious southern cakes and pies to perfection.
