John LaMela understands the complexities of the NYC home search. Now happily settled in the Financial District, he grew up in the small orchard and winery town of Marlboro, NY but quickly fell in love with this great city.
John received a BA in Public Relations and completed a year program in Lorenzo Di Medici in Florence, Italy. While there he worked in promotions, event planning and tour guiding for different companies, demonstrating his outgoing, communicative personality. More recently, John served in a media relations capacity for two startup companies, and at a public relations agency representing clients in all industries.
His excellent communications skills, incredible work ethic and strong knowledge of many Manhattan areas make him a well-rounded real estate partner. John specializes in rentals and sales primarily in the Financial District, Battery Park City, Tribeca and Soho. In free time, he is an outdoorsman who loves to hike and photograph nature. Though his Italian is a bit rusty, every Monday, he and his siblings (twin brother and older sister) dine at an Italian restaurant in Soho for a weekly pasta night.
