Having lived in Harlem for over six years, currently in a brownstone in Sugar Hill, Jceal is intimately familiar with the surrounding areas and neighborhoods. He has watched Harlem develop, adding new shopping and restaurant outlets; plus his freelance work as a photographer has taken him to every corner of the city, giving him broad knowledge of Manhattan and Brooklyn.
Originally from Southern California, Jceal studied Mass Communication and Photography at California State University. Previously, he worked in customer service and sales in the hospitality industry, as well as in bookkeeping for a business management firm in New York. As an artist, Jceal also takes special notice of details. Whether it is the building's architecture or the amount of natural light, he is aware of the little things that can transform a unit from a house to a home.
