For Representative Devin Shallop, real estate runs in the family, though the former photographer took the scenic route to his current vocation.
Growing up in the Midwest, surrounded by successful brokers and investors, Devin was attracted to the business of real estate early on. Having worked as a successful photographer in New York and Chicago, Devin sees significant overlap between the skills that allowed him to thrive in that industry and the ones required to be a successful real estate Representative. "As a freelance photographer, it was on me, and only me, to obtain clients. If I didn't network, build relationships and maintain them, I wouldn't work," says Devin. "I had to provide the highest level of customer service to my clients, which I believe is absolutely necessary to succeed in the world of real estate."
Devin's gregarious, outgoing personality coupled with a determined drive and can-do attitude have won him many admirers among his real estate clients and peers. When it comes to his clients, Devin's motto is, "I'm not happy until they are."
A Detroit area native, Devin holds a B.F.A. from Detroit's College for Creative Studies. Devin currently resides in Midtown West. In his free time, he enjoys cycling, traveling, attending art galleries and museums, and supporting at risk LGBTQ youth by volunteering with The Trevor Project.
