Corey Recai is a full-fledged New Yorker at this point, although he was born on the island of St. Lucia, a sovereign island country in the West Indies in the eastern Caribbean Sea, where French is their native language. (Corey is fluent.) Even though he arrived on the shores of New York and landed in Bushwick Brooklyn when he was just 6 years old, he brought with him an unusual sense of curiosity about the world around him for a child his age. Corey's formative years living on a quiet island gave him a natural sense of peace and confidence that has governed his life. That sense of calm allowed him to ease his way into the hustle and bustle of New York. He has managed to navigate New York's tumultuous life style without forfeiting his calm demeanor.
During his teenage years, Corey began traveling to countries in Western Europe exploring the architecture, culture and charm of Germany, Switzerland, France, Belgium, Amsterdam and England. It was during these visits that he developed a heightened interest in real estate and the viability of intelligent design in construction. He was so smitten by the real estate bug that when he was a sophomore in college at Philadelphia University, he got his real estate sales person's license. The path that Corey has followed since college, where he majored in Mechanical Engineering, has centered on real estate and construction. He is most interested in the viability of a project and how material choice and intelligent design plays an integral part in the interaction of the property with the surrounding environment and what happens as a result.
His real estate career began in full when he was a field engineer for AT&T. His first real foray into NY real estate, however, was with Bond NY where he really earned his stripes in rentals. From there he joined Brown Harris Stevens and then ventured into new development as an on-site agent for 2 years. Corey is now part of the very successful husband & wife team of Emma & Michael Kerins at Halstead, repeatedly ranked in the Top 1% of the company. With his passion for real estate, his calm demeanor and a wonderful opportunity to grow into an even more successful real estate agent. Corey is ready to tackle all aspects of this new and challenging opportunity in New York's every changing real estate market. To really test his commitment, he is currently renovating his childhood home in Queens and turning it into a 2 family home!
