Charlie Doolan spent nearly a decade working at some of Manhattans largest real estate firms before deciding to teach his skills to others as founder of KIAN Realty. Adept at finding the most qualified tenants and streamlining the leasing process from application to lease signing, he has performed impeccably on owners behalf and earned an incredibly loyal following. Charlie says this trust goes beyond the lease signing so much so that in many cases I am called on to assist in handling every detail in prepping an apartment for lease including recommending contractors for repairs, painting and cleaning. Charlie is equally attentive and effective with his sales clients, whether buyers or sellers. Knowing all the details and offering informed insight is the reason hes so sought after throughout the city. This coupled with his tireless work ethic ensures a winning formula for good business. Prior to entering real estate, Charlie worked for 14 years as a union laborer with jobs ranging from foreman to shop steward to shoveling concrete. He also had a five-year run in a family food business in Long Beach, NY which still exists today. His hands-on experience in these demanding fields prepared him well for the challenges and interactions hed face in the fast-paced world of real estate. Born and raised in Long Island City, Charlie currently enjoys life in the Financial District. Hes traveled to over 50 countries in Asia, Europe, Africa, South America and North America, but feels nothing compares to New York Citys unique energy, diversity and character. Besides his dedication to New York and its real estate, Charlie has been a committed community member and proud sponsor of Children International for the past 25 years.
