Ann Mackend began her real estate career in the Washington, D.C. metro area, serving clients of all cultures and backgrounds in a city as vibrant and international city as New York. Today she enjoys helping buyers, sellers and renters successfully navigate the unique NYC market, holding their hands every step of the way.
Ann was introduced to real estate at an early age, as her family owned and managed property in Africa for years. As your dedicated agent, she will educate you thoroughly and explain the steps of the process to build confidence and awareness as you move forward. Ann is an active listener who gives her full attention to what you are saying, and what you want in a home. She sets expectations upfront so there are no unpleasant surprises, and is a strong negotiator known for bringing parties together in seamless win-win deals.
Specializing in sales and rentals the five NYC boroughs, Ann looks forward to meeting your needs with patience, support and out-of-the-box thinking. She entered real estate after working in the areas of retail sales, customer service and debt collection. Originally from the Congo where she earned a law degree, Ann holds a second Bachelor degree in Accounting from the University of Maryland. She is currently a senior student in the Master degree program there.
Passionate about living in New York, Ann loves spending time in Times Square, Union Square, Central Park and other special places. She enjoys volunteer work that focuses on improving people's lives, and empowering women, children and senior citizens. As a former member of Rotary Club International, Ann was involved in the fight against Polio and HIV-AIDS in Africa.
