As a homeowner and investor, Alfred Tom has had a longstanding interest in the real estate field. "I always found myself reading about, looking at or talking about real estate," he recalls. It's no surprise then, that he chose to pursue the profession full-time. In fact, looking back, he sees that his career pursuits leading up to real estate each served as a stepping stone, helping him to develop the rich skillset necessary to be successful, including top-notch customer service skills, a bias to action, the ability to think on his feet and an unfailing eye toward delivering value.
With a wide-reaching understanding of what real estate encompasses for each individual-whether as a home, work site or investment-Alfred is committed to exceeding his clients' objectives with an amiable and empathetic approach. For him, the process always starts with communication. "I ask a lot of questions to understand what my clients' values, needs and wants are, and then help them learn about the real estate market based on those values, needs, and wants."
A New York native, Alfred lives in Fort Greene, which he loves for its diversity, great dining scene and its historic centerpiece park. Alfred holds an M.A. in applied developmental psychology. In his free time, he loves to travel with his partner and spend time with his two dogs, Lucky and Toby.
