DESCRIPTION
Huge, bright loft apartment in a former garment factory in Downtown Brooklyn. The unit is on an upper floor and has a great view of downtown! This is an open-plan loft and has a large, raised sleeping area built out with a storage underneath, a new kitchen with dishwasher, a dining area and living room area. The landlord is willing to customize the space further if the tenant needs. Two more bedrooms could be added, but the open plan is so rare to see these days.
There is ample storage above the bathroom and under the sleeping area and lots and lots of windows in the main living area. The ceiling heights are 12 feet and the floors are concrete.
There is a common roof deck and garden where tenants grow some vegetables, grill out, and play Bocce Ball. It is a really friendly building. There is bike storage in the basement, along with laundry. The building is a former garment factory and has one large freight elevator. The elevator can easily accommodate your furniture and it opens up onto our loading dock so moving in is a snap.
The photo shown here are of the actual unit. This building is one of the last real artist lofts left in Downtown Brooklyn. Closest trains are A/C/F/N at Jay St Metrotech, B/Q/R at Dekalb, 2/3 at Hoyt and 4/5 at Borough Hall. All trains are within a ten minute walk. The building is a 15 minute walk to Dumbo, Vinegar Hill, Brooklyn Heights, Boerum Hill, Cobble Hill, Fort Greene and the Navy Yard.
The landlord requires excellent credit and 42x rent in demonstrated income. Guarantors are allowed but we still want to see excellent credit and income for the primary tenant. First month, one month security and one month Broker fee is due at lease signing.

MAP
DOWNTOWN BROOKLYN
Located by DUMBO, Brooklyn Heights, Cobble Hill, Fort Greene,
Boerum Hill and Vinegar Hill, Downtown Brooklyn is considered the
central business district for Brooklyn. Right in the heart of the
action, those looking to live here will have access to parks,
schools, and an easy commute to Manhattan.
Downtown Brooklyn was one of the first parts of the borough to
be settled by the Dutch. When the British took over in 1664, the
area was turned into the central business district for the City of
Brooklyn.
Although the rest of the city was relatively indifferent to the
Slave Trade, Downtown Brooklyn was the rare exception. Full of
abolitionists, this neighborhood provided the massive support need
to get slavery abolished in New York in 1827.
After Brooklyn became part of New York City in 1898, business
ramped up in Downtown Brooklyn, but the number of people wanting to
live there ramped up as well. Today, Downtown Brooklyn is equal
parts…
