DESCRIPTION
I have a fully furnished bedroom with a full size bed, computer desk, sofa available in a three bedroom apartment from November 1st - February 1st. (flexible)
The rent includes all utilities so you don't have to pay extra for Gas, Electric or Internet. The apartment runs with central A/C.

Room is $750 and measures approximately 16' x 11'. Room has its own entrance with key and lock. It has one large window facing the backyard and a door to an outside balcony - plenty of sunlight. I have been living in this space for the past 5 years and have decorated the room to be spacious and breathable.

Shared common space will be the Living Room which measures approximately 19' x 15'. It looks quite good since the other room mate is into interior design and has hung a few things on the wall. The whole place is very open, inviting and organized.

The apartment is on the second floor. Shared kitchen is a good size, we just bought a new small cabinet to fill in a corner. Shared bathroom is also great as well with our 1 year old sink/vanity top.

The neighborhood is unique as you have access to just about everything. The 59st train station is only 1.5 blocks away so walking in the winter shouldn't be too rough. You can take the Express N train 1 stop to the Brooklyn Chinatown for amazing food or cheap groceries, or walk to 5th avenue and discover some great discount shopping or walk in the other direction on 3rd avenue and visit Bay Ridge which is a beautiful family oriented neighborhood, great pubs, great food and 3 avenues away from the pier. Lutheran's Hospital is 7 blocks away and 7/11 is three blocks away. As far as the commute to Manhattan, you can get to Union Square in about 30 minutes. Very timely. :)

Qualities I'm looking for in a temporary sublet is someone who is trustworthy to keep to his/her agreement on payments, respectful of others privacy and of noise levels, a non-smoker, no pets as I'm allergic to pet hair, no sleepovers, definitely no drugs and has to be clean. I will be moving back into this space afterwards so I expect the room to be tidy with nothing broken or missing.

First month rent + full security as deposit ($1500). No need for a broker's or finder's fee. You will be signing a temporary contract holding you responsible to your commitment and for any damages incurred during your stay.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask. My schedule to show the space is open and it'll be a chance for us to see if we fit.
If you are interested in the location, send me a little bit about yourself, and what time you will likely want to view the apartment.

Thanks!

SUNSET PARK

On the west side of Brooklyn below Greenwood Heights, Sunset Park is a bustling and diverse community. With tons of places to shop, eat, and drink, this neighborhood is popular with both residents and tourists alike.

Fun Facts and History of Sunset Park

First settled in 1636 and fully settled in 1640, Sunset Park was one of the first Dutch settlements of New Amsterdam. Once the British took over in 1664, the area was split so half was part of Brooklyn and the other half was part of New Utrecht. The shore was used as a major port, especially during the American Revolution.

Due to Sunset Park's location, the area remained mostly farmland while other parts of Brooklyn were modernizing in the early to mid 1800's. Once the Green-Wood Cemetery opened in the 1840's, it drew large crowds, prompting ferry service from Manhattan and encouraging growth in the area.

A building boom, starting in the late 1800's, drew scores of people to the area. Subway lines were added, resulting in theā€¦
