DESCRIPTION
No Fee! $1000 Awesome ROOM available in a 3BR in *South Slope*
The apt's features include sound proof, large, thermal windows and hardwood floors throughout. High ceilings add to the apartment's nice charm.
In addition to the above, the rental comes with an in-unit thermostat and central a/c. The landlord did a good job with the halogen, recessed, and track lighting. The apartment is nice and sunny. The onsite laundry is a big convenience.
You might never need it with the city's vast restaurant options, but the apartment's kitchen was recently renovated and comes with hardwood flooring, new countertops, and an open layout. You'll find a full-sized fridge, a gas oven, a dishwasher, plenty of storage, high-end, stainless steel, vented appliances, and a gas range.
The bedroom has hardwood flooring, good storage, and a window that opens. It's a well sized bedroom, and should fit a queen bed. Inside the recently renovated bathroom you'll find a soaking tub, a luxury shower, granite finishes, a medicine cabinet, and good storage.
It's rare in NYC, at this price range, to find a building that's well maintained, loved by tenants, rarely available, and leasing up fast. This building is exactly that. The full amenity list includes: a roof deck, a great super, a balcony, outdoor space, parking on street, lighted and clean hallways, a virtual doorman, bike storage, security cameras, Verizon FiOS internet, and a front door buzzer.

GREENWOOD HEIGHTS
Greenwood Heights is both a neighborhood of industry and
livability. While most of the neighborhood is made up of the
Green-Wood Cemetery, just southwest of Prospect Park, a good amount
of people live here for the waterfront views and easy access to
busier parts of Brooklyn.
After playing a major role in the Battle of Long Island during
the American Revolution, Greenwood became a cemetery for fallen
soldiers of the war. The portion of the neighborhood west of the
cemetery was a very popular port, which is why housing started to
pop up here.
While still largely industrial, the population of the area grew
in the 1800's, the affordable prices attracting the working class
and the newly immigrated. The neighborhood was thriving until the
Great Depression whipped out much of the business brought in by
factories and the waterfront.
Greenwood Heights became known as an area for the impoverished
by the 1960's. It remained this way until real…
