Second rental ever in the 22-residence building (completed and sold out in 2021), which features a virtual doorman, elevator, elegant lobby and lounge, cold storage, bike room, and well-equipped gym with Peloton bike!

With its high ceilings and large, nearly floor-to-ceiling casement windows, the home enjoys wonderful light all day long with pindrop quietness. A timeless palette of finishes and contemporary design enrich the home with character and convenience-a standout among the newer buildings in the area.

An entry foyer opens to the large living/dining room and chef's kitchen. The dining area can easily fit a sizable six-top table, and the living room fits a large media and sitting area with couch and other chairs. The living/dining room opens to the home's balcony, making for great indoor and outdoor entertaining. A hall closet and separate closet with the Bosch washer and dryer sit off of the foyer.

The open chef's kitchen features custom-designed walnut and matte lacquer European cabinetry, with lots of over- and under-counter storage. The elegant quartz countertops and dining bar are generous in size, replete with handsome backsplash and a waterfall edge. Appliances include a suite of Fisher & Paykel refrigerator, dishwasher, five-burner range, and oven. The oversize Franke sink features Grohe fixtures, including a pull-out nozzle.

The two bedrooms of the home are both quite large and well-appointed with tall closets, all of which have been customized with an Elfa system by the owners. The primary bedroom includes an en-suite five-fixture bathroom featuring a huge walk-in shower with Grohe fixtures and built-in shelf. The primary bedroom suite includes a dressing area nook that can also double as a small workspace.

Both the primary and second bathrooms feature Statuario marble slab tiles on the wall and hexagon mosaic flooring. The vanities are custom walnut with Carrara marble counters. The commodes are Villeroy & Boch. A spa-like Duravit soaking tub completes the second bathroom.

Handsome wide-plank oak flooring is throughout the home. It has multi-zone heating and cooling.

This popularity only increased when train lines were extended to the area in the late 1800's.

While many of those older Victorian homes are still around, brownstone row houses were built in the early 1900's to thrust the area into the modern day. Around the 1950's Crown Heights began to see an influx of diversity with large populations of black and immigrant communities moving into the neighborhood.

The 1970's were a turbulent timeā€¦
