DESCRIPTION
RENT STABILIZED ROOM AVAILABLE DECEMBER 15

We have a private room available in a 3BR duplex in Crown Heights. The room comes unfurnished, but it can hold up to a queen size bed. There is a large window and full closet.

The apartment is located one block away from Franklin Avenue, which has many restaurants, bars, stores, etc. Brooklyn Museum is a 5 minute walk and Prospect Park is a 10 minute walk from our front door. There is laundry in the building and the closest grocery store is a one minute walk from the rear building exit.

The apartment has two floors with a spiral staircase. The is an entrance on both floors into the apartment as well. We have a fully stocked kitchen and one shared bathroom per the photos.

One person in mid 20s working the consulting and my roommate is a late 20s person working in TV/film.

We're looking for a clean and responsible person to fill the room. This would be a non-lease holder room since lease is already in place and we do not anticipate renewing it next summer.

$900 deposit plus first month's rent to move in. Come check it out!

Fun Facts and History of Crown Heights

Crown Heights began its life a bit later than most Brooklyn neighborhoods, becoming a residential area only after the revolutionary war. However, once it got going in the early 1800's, it quickly became a haven for secondary homes of the wealthy King's County elite. This popularity only increased when train lines were extended to the area in the late 1800's.

While many of those older Victorian homes are still around, brownstone row houses were built in the early 1900's to thrust the area into the modern day. Around the 1950's Crown Heights began to see an influx of diversity with large populations of black and immigrant communities moving into the neighborhood.
