DESCRIPTION
New development, brand new loft at 51 Jay Street. 51 Jay St: a collection of 75 condominiums set in a thoughtfully converted DUMBO warehouse. Designed by acclaimed architecture firm ODA, 51 Jay Street sets a new standard for living in DUMBO. Intensive study went into creating these residences that are both elegantly proportioned and highly functional, a rare combination in warehouse conversions. Every detail throughout this residence speaks of expert craftsmanship and fine materials that exude the industrial charm of the building. A wall of expansive and elegantly proportioned casement windows and high ceilings on this floor allows light to pour onto oak herringbone floors in living areas. Factories began popping up around the mid 1800's and DUMBO
became a place of industry for the next few decades. DUMBO was
known for innovation as well, especially in 1890 when the cardboard
