The apartment isentered from the Garden level, where you have a nice-sized living room with a working fireplace.   Down the hallway is the kitchen with a full bath (with tub) and a large storage closet between the living and kitchen.  An excellent feature throughout this home is the separation of major living spaces on either end of the hallway. You can have privacy in the living room from any activities in the kitchen.

The eat-in kitchen is very large, with plenty of country style cabinetry and lots of counter space.  The kitchen has direct access to your own private garden area out back, making it nice to leave the door open and enjoy the out of doors.  Since the kitchen is extra sized, there is room for even a smaller kids play table out of the way from the work area of the kitchen.

When Cobble Hill was colonized by the Dutch, the area was used as farmland and a fort. The fort would stay standing throughout the American Revolution, and was one of the places George Washington retreated to after the Battle of Long Island.

Cobble Hill was made part of Brooklyn in 1834. In the 1850's, Brooklyn became extremely popular, and Cobble Hill built a ton of row houses that are still standing to this day. By the 1880's, Cobble Hill was packed with middle and upper class residents.
