Located by DUMBO, Brooklyn Heights, Cobble Hill, Fort Greene,
Boerum Hill and Vinegar HIll, Downtown Brooklyn was once considered
the central business district for Brooklyn until the city was
absorbed into New York. The area is heavily populated by commercial
and government offices and is home to three universities, NYU
Tandon, NYC City Tech and Long Island University. Those looking to
rent an affordable apartment located at easy commute both Brooklyn
and Manhattan can find their home in Downtown Brooklyn.
While Brooklyn Bridge Park is technically a couple blocks
outside the neighborhood, the waterfront continues to offer amazing
front-row views of Manhattan to residents in the area. The
neighborhood also features two of New York's best pizza
restaurants: Grimaldi's and Juliana's.
