Listing description:
Furnished sunny & spacious 1BR sublet in amazing location. Boerum Hill, Brooklyn

We love our apartment in the heart of Boerum Hill. We are headed out of town for 3 months this summer and looking for a great subletter to take over our place for ideally the entire time, but for at least two months.

Spacious, gets amazing light and is comfy and homey. We have a large bedroom, large living space, medium-sized bathroom, and a good-sized kitchen.

Price includes utilities, wifi and Smart TV with Netflix. Other amentities include electric fireplace, dishwasher, printer, hardwood floors, two large closets (not walk-in). Washer/Dryer in the building.

We are a 3-4 minute walk from Atlantic-Avenue Barclays, Brooklyn's largest transportation hub, which includes the 2, 3, 4, 5, N, Q, R, B, D subway lines, multiple bus lines, and Atlantic Terminal/LIRR. We are a 10 minute walk to the G, F, A, C train and close to Citi-bike stations. Many of these lines are 1-2 stops away from Manhattan.

Boerum Hill is super cool and at the juncture of a lot of amazing neighborhoods in Brooklyn.

Close walking distance to Park Slope, Prospect Heights, Gowanus, Fort Green, Cobble Hill, 5th Avenue and more areas filled with cafes, boutiques, nightlife, and restaurants. Highlights of the immediate neighborhood include Barclays Center, with the new and hot Brooklyn Nets basketball team, as well as concerts with the biggest names and more. 5th Avenue restaurants and shops are a close walk. 5-10 minute walk to Whole Foods, Stop & Shop, Target, Best Buy and the Apple store, 15 minutes to Trader Joes and Key Food. Tons to do all around: BAM (Brooklyn Academy of Music) with movies, theatre and dance. Lots of live comedy in the neighborhood, cool outdoor spaces and beergardens for ideal Brooklyn summer vibes, Brooklyn Boulders climbing gym, plenty of gyms/yoga, tennis courts are at Fort Green Park and the other side of the incredible Prospect Park, which is a 20-minute walk, is almost the size of Central Park and the host of events and concerts throughout the summer, many of which are free. 25-minute walk to the Brooklyn Bridge. 45 minutes to one hour gets you to Coney Island beach.

We can happily supply a list of some of our favorite spots to go in the neighborhood.

This is an urban neighborhood and there is some public housing in the area. We are on a side street that gets a good deal of pedestrian traffic throughout the day. If you have any questions about the neighborhood please don't hesitate to ask.

We will be out of the country during your stay, but are 100% dedicated to making sure you have a great experience. We also have contacts in the immediate area that can lend a hand if need be. We have also let our landlord know about this rental and is usually quickly available if anything comes up.

We ask you to sign a standard sublease agreement which will include a one month deposit. We also ask for two references.

BOERUM HILL

Hip yet peaceful, Boerum Hill is a popular neighborhood where families and young professionals go to shop, eat, and live. Surrounded by Cobble Hill, Park Slope, and Fort Greene, this neighborhood is in the heart of the action.

Fun Facts and History of Boerum Hill

Most of Boerum's colonial life was spent as the farmland and estate of the Boerum family. However, as Brooklyn expanded, the family soon had to sell their property to make homes for people. Row houses replaced the farmland between the 1840's and 70's.

Boerum Hill was largely a working class neighborhood, many people commuting to the industrial neighborhoods of Brooklyn as well as the Navy Yard. Even after the Navy Yard cut jobs and factories closed, the people of the neighborhood were able to stay strong and afford their homes, even through the Great Depression and the recession of the 1970's.

During the 1990's, homes that were formerly boarding houses started being purchased as private property as streets were listed as…
