Around the corner is Wholefoods and a bodega that is open 24 hours a day with Bacon Egg and Cheese ready to go on a seedy Sunday. Hop over to Brookfield Place to get some fancy french nosh and there is a food court with incredible options for getting fat.

The building has incredibly responsive staff and always keen to make sure everyone feels home.

Our story at this building is coming to an end as we've had a baby (yay), and we'll need more space to handle my new job working from home.

Battery Park City is not an organic part of the island of Manhattan. Instead it was used as a port where several major accidents and sinkings had occurred. This left the area dilapidated and largely abandoned.

By the early 1960's, New York was tired of these largely destroyed portions of land and sea and wrote up a proposal to create an extension of the island by way of landfill. In 1966, after several plans were hotly debated, the plan for Battery Park City was unveiled and construction soon began.
