DESCRIPTION
We are moving and are looking for someone to sublet our apartment or take over the lease.

We love living at 300 Mercer Street in Greenwich Village, which is a hi-rise doorman building on the corner of Mercer and Waverly. There is a pool on the roof and laundry/dry cleaning valet in the lobby. There is a parking garage and gym that you can join. Our home is a 2 bedroom, 1.5 bathroom with a large, long living room, lots of closets, and a big galley kitchen and a south facing terrace. The living room faces south as well as the master bedroom, and our daughter's bedroom and the windowed kitchen and powder face east, receiving great morning light! It is a rental building built I think in the 1980's to give you an idea of the bones of the building, but our apartment has been updated with new bathrooms, new wood flooring, and a new kitchen.  This apartment will be unfurnished.

We are looking to sublet because we have found a new place to purchase and will be moving. We're sad to leave because we have really loved being in this building, but it was always a place for us to live while we found our permanent home!

Start: around Nov 15
Our Lease ends: Feb 19
Rent: $5975
Details: 2 bed, 1 bath, 1 windowed powder, very long and large living room, outdoor terrace, big windowed galley kitchen, south facing, stainless steel appliances, new kitchen, recent bathrooms, new wood flooring, lots of closets

Email me if interested.

GREENWICH VILLAGE

Greenwich Village is the hip spot every artist, actor, and activist dream of living in. From 14th to Houston, hugged by the Hudson River and Broadway, this area is extremely popular with NYU students, faculty, and young professionals. The establishments here are popular with every New Yorker and visitor, meaning there's always something to do in this trendy neighborhood.

Fun Facts and History of Greenwich Village

Greenwich Village was not originally part of New York City. Dutch Settlers and a formerly enslaved black population, liberated after the first legal protest to take place in America, used the land for tobacco farms. After New Netherlands was conquered by the British in 1664, they left Greenwich as its own hamlet, separate from New York City.

The name "Greenwich" first appears in NYC city records in 1713, meaning it was likely incorporated into the rest of the city around that time. After the American Revolution, Greenwich was the site of multiple city facilities such as…
