DESCRIPTION
Two rooms in Astoria ($1616 each)
Looking for subletters from Dec 1st, 2022 to April 30, 2023. Option to apply for lease takeover after that. Great opportunity for two people who want to live together or a couple that wants one room as an office.
PLUS: 1 room comes with a queen size nectar mattress and a desk!
THE SPACE: 2 king-sized rooms (can be rented separately for $1,616 each or together for $3,232 + bills) with a living room ft. a mounted TV and a really nice bathroom. The two rooms have the entire floor to themselves and would just share the fully equipped kitchen (Airfryer, vitamin, the works) with the downstairs housemate (me). Bedrooms are unfurnished but come with professionally mounted blackout blinds.
This split level unit was just completely renovated so all the finishes are modern and brand new.  There is also an in-unit washer and dryer, as well as A/C & heat in each room. The building is controlled access with a virtual doorman.
THE LOCATION: Minutes from Steinway and walking distance to the M/R and N/W trains.
ROOMMATE: Your roommate is a photographer and lives downstairs. Looking for professionals that are neat and friendly. Sorry, no pets. He loves animals, but his allergies don't.
Send me a message if you're interested!

Fun Facts and History of Astoria

Astoria is named for John Jacob Astor, the very first multi-millionaire in the United States. Back when the area was colonized in 1652, Astoria was originally called "Hallet's Cove." That name persisted until the neighborhood was officially named a town in 1839, when the residents were trying to persuade Astor to invest in the area.

Astor did end up investing and the town of Astoria lasted around 30 years before being absorbed into Long Island City in 1870, and then into the Great New York City as a part of Queens in 1898. As the population grew and industry came to Queens…
