DESCRIPTION
A newly renovated studio apartment in a doorman building which features in-unit W/D, hardwood flooring, dishwasher and microwave.

Gramercy Park is a quiet, well-to-do residential area with brownstones and upscale apartment buildings on tree-lined streets. Fashionable restaurants draw affluent crowds, and historic bars host a buzzy after-work scene. Stylish hotels dot the area. At the area's center is a private, gated park, from which the neighborhood takes its name. Landmarks like the National Arts Club and The Players private club, along with performance venues Irving Plaza, the Gramercy Theatre and the Jazz Standard (for live music) and Repertorio Espanol (for Spanish-language theater), are just a few of the draws of this eastside neighborhood. A stay at the Gramercy Park Hotel comes with a key to the private Gramercy Park-which is ordinarily open only to the area's residents. Do not forget to visit the world famous "Gramercy Tavern". A short distance from the 4, 5, 6, L & R trains along with many bus lines!!!

People started building around the park in the 1840's as a way to revitalize the area after a major depression a few years earlier. Trustees of the park met in 1844 and made a plan for how to layout the development they wanted.

From there, building anything in the neighborhood goes through a rigorous process. Several train lines and buildings were outright rejected, but the process…
