DESCRIPTION
Three bedroom apartment available for move in February 1. The bedrooms are each at least 10′ x 10′, with walls insulated for sound and refinished floors. All three of the bedrooms have professionally built lofts for sleeping or storage. This is a quiet apartment, looking out onto a Catholic Church flower garden. There are 12 ft. ceilings, a full bath, gas heat, and gas water heater. Brand new factory-style double-paned windows on the southern exposure make this space very well lit and airy.

Laundry machines are located in several locations of the building, as well as dry cleaning and laundromat service available around the corner on Bushwick Ave. The building is located one block from the Morgan L train station on McKibbin Street, a few short blocks from our building on Thames Street. The neighborhood is basically an old manufacturing district, with around 15 other renovated factory buildings in the surrounding area. There are tons of galleries, vintage shops, and performance spaces in the immediate vicinity.

There is a park down the street with basketball courts. Within just 2-4 blocks of the building, there are several bars & restaurants, coffee shops, a gym, and three 24-hour organic groceries. Photos below are of the actual space that is available.

Fun Facts and History of Williamsburg

Originally it's own village, Williamsburg has had a long history as a home for Manhattanites seeking a less-expensive refuge across the river. Because of the convenience of the village, the population grew fast. It became the Town of Williamsburg in 1840, and evolved again into the City of Williamsburg in 1855. However, Williamsburg was soon incorporated into Brooklyn that same year.

Once Brooklyn became part of New York City in 1898, more transportation options were added, making Williamsburg very popular, especially among immigrant populations. Post-WWII, it became home to many Hasidic Jews as well as people from Puerto Rico and the…
