DESCRIPTION
No Fee. This wonderful 2.5 bedroom, 2 bath apartment
is beautifully located on leafy 8th Avenue in Historic Park Slope.
With 1400 square feet of living space, this generously
proportioned, floor-through apartment with in-unit laundry, offers
the spacious dimensions that afford large rooms with high ceilings,
extra large windows and period details. Two big bedrooms each
easily fit a queen or king size bed, and the master bedroom suite
contains a large dressing area and an additional small bedroom,
with a large window, that makes the perfect home office, serene
nursery or yoga studio. The gracious living room with it's huge
triple bay window lets the light pour in. The room is graced by
period parquet floors and an amazing wood burning fireplace with a
beautiful carved marble surround. The kitchen, the warm heart of
the home, is thoughtfully designed and features high-end stainless
steel appliances including a dishwasher, and conveniently opens
onto both the dining area and master bedroom. The bathrooms are
renovated and up-to-date with a full soaking bathtub in the master
bathroom and a spacious shower in the second bath. On the third
floor of a gorgeous brownstone townhouse, once home to a Brooklyn
mayor, and adorned with a pair or ornate lanterns (a 19th c.
requirement for a mayor's residence) this section of 8th Avenue was
nicknamed "Sportsman's Row" for the horse riding and driving
activities of it's residents. A famous riding/driving stable was
just around the corner and residents of the neighborhood could
order a horse and carriage for rides and drives in Prospect Park.
This apartment is so close to everything that Park Slope and
Prospect Heights are renowned for: Prospect Park, Grand Army Plaza
farmers market and food trucks, Brooklyn Museum, Botanic Garden,
subway lines, the useful shopping and dining on Flatbush Ave., 7th
and 5th Avenues. and Vanderbilt Avenue. You could not pick a more
convenient spot. It's the pinnacle of Brownstone Brooklyn. Pets on
