DESCRIPTION
King-sized bedroom available in a newly renovated 2BR townhouse apartment. This bright sun-filled room is large enough for a bed, TV, and desk. It has a large closet unit and an additional storage crawl space. Available furnished or unfurnished.
The apartment features PRIVATE OUTDOOR SPACE, by way of a rooftop deck exclusively for use by this apartment. Other features include tall 11 foot ceilings, hardwood floors, recessed lighting, in-unit WASHER & DRYER, modern bath, and a brand new kitchen with stainless steel appliances, dishwasher, and a large granite island. We also have access to the basement for storage; great for bicycles, storage bins, or a garment rack.
The apartment is on 116th Street in East Harlem, 1.5 blocks from the 6 train (East Side), and 3 blocks from the 2 train (West Side). We have great Mexican (El Kalejon), pizza (Patsy's), donuts (Super Nice), coffee (Dell'Aria), and a very cool new restaurant/lounge (The Good Good). We're also 2 blocks from the East Rive Plaza, with incredible shopping options; Costco, Aldi's, and TJ Maxx!
I've been in this neighborhood for over 5 years and have enjoyed reasonable rent without having to sacrifice proximity to transportation downtown. It's also been a great experience living close to Central Park and the East Rive Promenade. I don't plan on leaving the neighborhood any time soon...

is more suburban and chill. From 110th to 155th, Harlem has
something for everyone.
Harlem is so huge that each spot has its own unique history. For
example, West and Central Harlem were burned to the ground during
the American Revolution, whereas East Harlem wasn't really
developed until the 1860's. However, one fact remains consistent
for all of Harlem: That the population of the area exploded once a
prominent Black neighborhood was destroyed to make room for Central
Park.
The Harlem Renaissance began around WWI and the cultural impact
the neighborhood would have on the world began. Becoming a major
player in the worlds of art, literature, music, and civil rights,
Harlem became a mecca for…
