DESCRIPTION
Available now, this airy, bright and fantastic apartment was my home for a year and now its needs a new person to call it home.

One block from bustling and emerging Harlem, just behind the Astor Row and in the middle of a historic neighborhood packed with culture, jazz and a growing culinary scene, this gorgeous two bedroom apartment sits in one of the most interestingly rich neighborhoods in New York City.

Decked throughout with parquet floors, high ceilings and tall windows, this apartment is bathed in sunshine in the mornings and enjoys the sunset rays all in one single space. It is equipped with a gorgeous kitchen, a beautiful cooker (which I'll dearly miss) and it opens up to the huge living room in front that has so much potential for your best attempt at interior decorating!

It has two bedrooms, however one room could be used as an office, studio and even a yoga or exercising space. The main bedroom as an enormous, semi walk-in closet that fits the busiest of wardrobes. It has two huge windows which receive the sunset sun adorning in light everything within the room. It fits a king-size bed, a desk and chair and it still got room to spare.

This apartment has loads of storage room, so you'll never have to worry about where to store your valuables.

To boot, its a 20 min brisk walk to Central Park, Whole Foods is a couple of blocks away, and you've got Sylvia's, Red Rooster, Sottocasa (my favorite Pizzeria in NYC), Amy Ruth's and a huge array of extraordinary restaurants as your local eateries.

Welcome to your new home.

Fun Facts and History of Central Harlem

Central Harlem began its life much like the rest of northern Manhattan, as farmland. A bit more densely packed than the rest of the farmland in the area, the British made sure to burn it to the ground during the American Revolution as American forces retreated off the island. Once the war ended, the rebuilding process for the area was a bit slow.

Things in the area ramped up in the 1860's and 70's for several reasons, including the destruction of a prominent black neighborhoods to make room for Central Park, railroads were built further north, and the end of the Civil War brought many black families north to look for opportunity and safety from the…
