DESCRIPTION
1 bedroom available in a shared 3 bedroom apartment in East Williamsburg.

This gorgeous apartment is located in East Williamsburg (close to Bushwick), a half block from the Montrose L stop. There is a large living room with lots of natural light (and plants!), a kitchen with a dishwasher, and a separate dining room. The best part is the large private deck in the back, which is great for relaxing during these weird COVID times.

There is one bedroom available. The room is $1250, overlooks the back deck and is spacious (approx 14' by 10'). It has a deep closet and large windows. The room is available ideally December 1, but could potentially be available for a start date up to January 1, depending on interest and finding a good fit.

I am a woman in my 30s. I'm a teacher and currently going into work Monday-Thursday and working from home on Fridays. The other roommate is in her early 30s, works in documentary film and is currently working from home (although not usually). She has a small dog, who is quiet, friendly and likes a good belly rub. Ideally, we are looking for a clean, youngish professional to fill the room. We're kind and respectful and are seeking someone who is these things, too, as well as being communicative and willing to clean and take care of our space. I tend to be fairly quiet at home but host the occasional BBQ or party once or twice a year. It would be nice to find someone who has similar interests and would occasionally like to have a drink, hang out, or watch some quality TV.

The apartment is close to multiple bodegas (organic and classic variety) and within walking distance of three larger grocery stores. There is a new grocery store being built a half block away.  Many fun restaurants and bars nearby. The L train is a one-minute walk from our door, and the J/M/Z and G trains are about a 12-minute walk away. There is a CitiBike dock right outside our door.

Ideally, I'd like to Zoom or Facetime first to show the apartment and chat for a bit. Then, if you are seriously interested, we can arrange a visit in person. Obviously, I'm trying to tread carefully here and limit unnecessary contact. I appreciate your understanding!

No brokers fee required, first month rent as deposit to hold the room.  $1250 + utilities (about $80-$150 a month)

Please send us an email telling us about yourself, your interests, and living style. Looking forward to hearing from you!

WILLIAMSBURG

Famous outside of NYC, Williamsburg is a rapidly growing neighborhood known for a large population of young artists, indie rockers, hipsters and a diverse community. Surrounded by Greenpoint, Bushwick, Bedford-Stuyvesant, Clinton Hill, and Navy Yard, Williamsburg is a bustling neighborhood with a lot to offer.

Fun Facts and History of Williamsburg

Originally it's own village, Williamsburg has had a long history as a home for Manhattanites seeking a less-expensive refuge across the river. Because of the convenience of the village, the population grew fast. It became the Town of Williamsburg in 1840, and evolved again into the City of Williamsburg in 1855. However, Williamsburg was soon incorporated into Brooklyn that same year.

Once Brooklyn became part of New York City in 1898, more transportation options were added, making Williamsburg very popular, especially among immigrant populations. Post-WWII, it became home to many Hasidic Jews as well as people from Puerto Rico and theā€¦

RENTHOP DESCRIPTION
The apartment is a unit offered at a monthly price of $1,250. The manager specfically mentions dogs are allowed but strangely has not mentioned cats. It may be an oversight or the building may really not allow cats. We recommend inquiring about the specifics of the pet policy.. The kitchen conveniently includes a dishwasher. This is a No Fee apartment, meaning the manager or agent should not ask you for a broker fee (there may still be deposits and other move-in fees paid to the landlord).
