DESCRIPTION
Available July 1 or slightly before.  It's just ONE flight up to this charming 1 bedroom apartment located right in the heart of SOHO. Apartment 5 has the perfect layout and was renovated just a few years back. The owner took great care in the details, and the unit remains in excellent condition. New hardwood floors were previously installed throughout, plus walls and ceilings were skim coated. A fantastic floor to ceiling wall of exposed brick was created in the living room area, truly capturing that 'old world' feel. The L-shaped, windowed kitchen was gut renovated and is now home to neutral, white cabinetry, granite countertops, and full-size appliances. In the bathroom, plumbing was upgraded along with new tiling, fixtures and lighting. The apartment simply feels like 'home' and exudes the sense of Soho, pre-war sophistication. NO PETS.

The location simply cannot be beat. 150 Sullivan is located in prime Soho, just a hop, skip and a jump from all of the neighborhood's fantastic restaurants and shops. 1/A/C/E/N/R/6/B/D/F/M subways nearby.

Fun Facts and History of SoHo

During the era of Dutch colonialism, SoHo was the site of the first free Black settlement in Manhattan. The land would remain largely rural until the draining of the Collect Pond due to pollution. Soon after, Broadway and Canal street were paved and people began to come in droves.

During the early and mid 1800's SoHo began constructing cast iron buildings in order to reduce the risk of fires, which had become common in the city. The buildings allowed for large windows and apartments. The wealthy elites of Manhattan called this place home until the invention of Modern Steel, which allowed for the development of skyscrapers.
