Listing description:
I love my neighborhood because it's incredibly diverse. On my block, people speak Arabic, Japanese, Spanish, French, Chinese, and Turkish. The entire neighborhood is lively and full of different types of ethnic foods. I am a 5-minute walk from the 1 train (Dyckman) and a 10-minute walk from the A train (190 or Dyckman stations). I can walk to the Hudson River and look at stunning views; I can also walk to the Harlem river and see the sunrise from there. There is a gym a few blocks away, as well as many supermarkets. A couple of Delis on my block are open 24/7 so I always feel safe.

Between 155th and 190th Street is the energetic residential

generations. As one popular musical states, "the streets are filled

Named for Fort Washington, which was constructed to fend off the
British during the American Revolutionary War, Washington Heights

As the city expanded after the revolution, more and more
