This studio to sublet is conveniently located on 39th St by the 3rd Ave, 4 blocks from Grand Central. I have one month left on the lease, so looking for someone to fill May 1 to May 31 at a discounted rent.

This is the best unit on floor 6 with doorman and elevator access. It is the most spacious with three windows, inner facing so very quiet, south facing with enough sunlight all seasons. It has a walk-in closet in the living area, and two more closets in the kitchen/bath area. Clean walls on both sides to watch movies with a projector (that is if you have one:)). There is a small gym (closed for now), and washer/dryer in building. Doormen are very friendly. I would have kept onto it for as long as possible if not starting a family and needing even more space. It's a studio but feels larger than a typical one-bed in the city.

The management company instructs that the subletter has to fill out a new application ($20 fee) and provide them with a letter of employment, a photo ID and once approved, sign a simple sublet agreement with me. I would ask for a $500 security deposit and will return to you by the end of the sublease. The monthly rental for the original lease was $2650, and I'm transferring with a big discount. Gas, heat and electricity are provided for free. Internet access is subletter's responsibility. For a month, it might work best if you have unlimited phone data.

The Property / Area (Murray Hill)
The 150 East 39th Street building is located in Murray Hill, Midtown Manhattan, Manhattan.

In the early 1900s, Murray Hill was known for being an upscale neighborhood with beautiful and stately brownstones marked with old NYC charm. Because of its central location, Murray Hill makes an ideal neighborhood for many professionals that work in Midtown. For many commuters, the proximity to Grand Central Station is especially convenient.

Population Density

As a primarily residential neighborhood Murray Hill is less densely populated than other areas of Manhattan (though Manhattan is as a rule more densely populated than the outer boroughs). That said, at rush hour you'll do well to avoid Grand Central and its vicinity if you can.

Atmosphere

In the early 1900s, Murray Hill was known for being an upscale neighborhood with beautiful and stately brownstones marked with old NYC charm. In more recent years, the neighborhood has become younger and more affordable. It has an active nightlife scene and an influx of NYC transplants as well as a relatively heavy population of students…

Murray Hill Apartments

The area has a number of food options, including Wokuni, The Junction, and Sam's Place. These are located within 55 yards. You can find Hunan Manor nearby.

The apartment is a unit offered at a monthly price of $2,050. This is a luxury doorman / elevator building. The building also boasts a fitness center to help residents stay in great shape. The manager allows pet cats but does not seem to allow dogs. As always, you should ask as early in the process as possible if you have any questions regarding the pet policy. This is a No Fee apartment, meaning the manager or agent should not ask you for a broker fee (there may still be deposits and other move-in fees paid to the landlord).
