DESCRIPTION
A charmed location with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms for rent. Fantastic heat, split unit AC, and endless hot water. The 3rd floor bathroom has a bathtub and the 2nd floor bathroom has a large standup shower. Both floors have their own separate on demand Navien boiler so there is never temp or pressure change in the flow of hot water. The galley style kitchen overlooks a flower garden and grape vines. This location is three blocks from Ikea, three blocks from Food Bazaar, and three blocks from Valentino Pier which boasts NYC's closest and most spectacular view of the Statue of Liberty across New York harbor. This is an owner rented, no fee, 2 year minimum lease agreement rental and will require valid credentials, proof of credit and finances, contact with prior landlord. The B61 bus stop is on the block and gets you to the F and G at Smith and 9th in 10 minutes in the park slope direction and to Jay Street Metrotech in about 20 minutes (always depending). There's lots to enjoy in this neighborhood and this recently renovated, bright, clean and functional space is the perfect place to enjoy it from.

The 1800's saw Red Hook transform into an industrial powerhouse. The ports were revitalized between the 1840's and 60's due to the deepening of the Gowanus canal and increased business from the formation of the Erie Canal. One might think this was great for the neighborhood. However, this success attracted organized crime by the 1920's.
Red Hook continued to have a poor reputation throughout the 1900's, though industry continued to thrive there. It wasn't until NYC went through a massive revitalization effort in the 1990's before Red Hook began to improve, especially with the addition of the IKEA. Now popular with artists and young professionals, Red Hook is a neighborhood in rapid growth.
