We were excited to move to nyc but didn't realise how difficult the apartment hunt could be. Very soon we realised that a broker might be needed.
We spoke to a few brokers and all they did was scare us even more, telling us how nothing will stay for more than two days and that it is a very tough situation out there. It was finally when we spoke to Yousaf that we felt at ease. He wanted to work with us instead of scaring us into just signing something.
So while people might want to scare you into signing leases , even very uncomfortable ones (happened to us) , do not do it. Instead reach out to Yousaf.
He was not only helpful but very encouraging. He always stuck to our budget and did not try to oversell.
People usually always go overboard the budget and try telling potential renters how they should get the overpriced apartment because that's what's available.
He did not put any pressure on us, was very open with us and did not get irritated or show any attitude when we didn't like the options.

Yousaf was extremely helped up from the moment we reached out about the apartment to the day we signed our lease. He answered all calls and texts right away and took time to walk us through the process and kept us updated with our application status. He knew exactly what he was talking about (most brokers I’ve worked with can’t even remember which building they’re at). He takes his time when he’s with you which is so important. My girlfriend and myself had been looking for apts for almost 4 month.
I happened upon renthop and Yousef was my first realtor I had reached out to. Yousef responded almost immediately and set something up for the next day. He had asked our preferences and even tho we had scheduled one apt he showed us 8 within walking distance. We ended up moving forward with one of his showings the next day.
In my experience some realtors do the bare minimum, Yousef helped and guided us through the process and dealt with all issues immediately and promptly. He was a breath of fresh air among other realtors who just didn’t seem to care and treated us as if we were just another paycheck or just brushed us off.
Would highly recommend Yousef, and will surely work with him again when the time comes.

Yousaf was amazing to work with! We looked for an an apartment during covid, and were worried about renting without seeing it in person. Not only did he facetime us in, show us all the specs, and send photos and videos afterwards, he went out of his way to show us other units in nearby area until we found our perfect match! We are so excited about the unit he found for us, and it checked every box!
Yousaf is a really friendly an approachable guy. He spent the day with us showing us a variety of accommodations in different types of buildings. He has a very wide knowledge of property in Manhattan. We are brand new to the city so he also gave us tons of really useful advice and information on neighbourhoods and general NYC living.

Yousaf is such a nice guy. He was friendly and not cocky which is very hard to find from real estate agent. He catches what we need for my apartment and showed me spaces that we would want. He understands diversity and welcomed me and my wife. Yousaf was the best broker I've ever dealt with. He is very straightforward, honest, and resourceful. He helped us through the process every step of the way; from picking out the perfect apartment within our price range to communicating to the leasing office on our behalf.
