Originally from Boston, Melissa holds a B.F.A. from the Tisch School of the Arts at NYU, where she graduated with honors and received the Founders' Day Award for scholastic achievement. Currently a resident of the East Village / Union Square neighborhood, she is also a certified yoga instructor, enjoys practicing meditation and taking comedy improv classes, and volunteers with a local hospice through the nonprofit Visiting Nurse Service of New York.
