Ben was born and raised in Hays, KS. After graduating from Fort Hays State University with a degree in Business Management, Ben moved to Arizona in 1987 and began his real estate career.
In his early career Ben earned the REO accounts of several lending institutions and began representing those lenders in the sale of hundreds of their REO/bank owned properties. The fact that those properties were located across the entire Phoenix Metropolitan Area (including the surrounding suburbs), gained Ben firsthand knowledge of the complete market and layout of the City. During that time, it was common that Ben would not only list the properties for the banks, but he would also procure the buyers for the properties himself as well.
As the years went on, Ben's business continued to grow well beyond lender accounts because of the reputation he'd gained early on in his career, the respect of his clients, the clients they'd referred to him, and other real estate professionals he'd done transactions with.
After 10 years in the real estate business, Ben moved from the company he started his career with to Realty Executives where he aligned himself with the most cutting edge and well-respected company in the Phoenix Metro Area.
Fast forward to 2007 – once again Ben was approached by several national lending institutions to handle their REO accounts. Over the next 3 years, Ben single handedly sold over 500 homes for those banks (without a team). While his job was to sell the homes on behalf of the banks, Ben felt for every family that was losing their home, therefore he made it his mission to get those families money from the bank to help with their transition. The amount varied but was often times up to $2500 if they left the home in good condition and handed over the keys without incident. Time and time again Ben was successful in those negotiations and got heartfelt thank-you's from families as they moved out.
For the last 30 years, Ben has represented thousands of sellers, buyers, landlords and tenants. His successful real estate career has been built based on clients who continued to call him for all their real estate needs. Because of the superior service he provides, those clients continue to hire Ben as their real estate agent while also referring their family and friends, confident that they too will become raving fans.
Realty Executives is now an International Company with more than 8000 agents. Year after year, Ben ranks in the Top 100 Agents Worldwide in total transactions. In recent years, his rankings are:
