After arranging to view the apartment, I ultimately chose not to proceed due to concerns surrounding the accuracy and presentation of the listing itself. I noticed there were separate posts for what appeared to be the same apartment made by both Andrii and James, yet the listings contained differing addresses, descriptions, and information. That inconsistency immediately raised concerns regarding transparency and accuracy. Following my decision not to move forward, I received multiple inappropriate text messages from Mr. Shtandryk, including being called “an asshole” and receiving mocking comments regarding my credit score. Regardless of frustration surrounding scheduling or a prospective tenant declining a unit, this type of communication is entirely unprofessional and inappropriate. I also found it especially concerning that financial information was referenced in a derogatory manner during what should have remained a professional interaction. Prospective tenants should not be subjected to insults or retaliatory comments simply because they chose not to rent a particular unit. What made this experience more troubling was discovering afterward that similar complaints regarding professionalism and client interactions appear repeatedly in Yelp reviews related to Homemade Real Estate. Unfortunately, my experience appears consistent with concerns other renters have publicly described. I ultimately signed a lease elsewhere that same day, opting to work with a realtor who communicated professionally and provided accurate listing information. However, I felt it was important to bring this matter directly to your attention because this interaction reflects poorly on the company and damages trust with prospective clients.
