DESCRIPTION
We are searching for a third roommate for the remainder of our lease (9/1/19-4/30/20). We are open to shorter stays but prefer a four-month minimum. The building is incredibly safe with two separate gated entries before the walk-up. The third-floor apartment is fully furnished, and the available room (9x8) includes full-sized mattress, frame, under-bed storage space, bureaus for clothing, and full use of the closet across the hall. Included photos depict how our current sublessee has arranged the room- but only the bed and under bed storage are included. The building provides heat and hot water, but we are including electric, gas, and wifi in the sublessee rent.
Lae and I are both college students studying Biology and Political Science, respectively. We are both very responsible in our academic and employed lives, but definitely still have fun. Our apartment is very easygoing, we prefer to just help each other out with chores and the like, so long as everything stays tidy and clean amidst our busy lives. Lae owns a cat named Marigold and I own a small dog named Paisley, both are very friendly and affectionate. If you would like to bring a pet, they must be up-to-date with all necessary vaccinations, and we would have to ensure that our animals get along.
The area we live in is quiet but fun. 4th avenue is fairly residential, but walking a block away to 5th avenue there are plenty of restaurants and multiple bars for a night out (including Freddy's). The grocery store and subway are both 2 blocks away from the building, bodegas and 24h delis are on every block (with a 24h Dunkin' Donuts next door), and the nearest laundromat is in the building at street-level.

GREENWOOD HEIGHTS
Greenwood Heights is both a neighborhood of industry and
livability. While most of the neighborhood is made up of the
Green-Wood Cemetery, just southwest of Prospect Park, a good amount
of people live here for the waterfront views and easy access to
busier parts of Brooklyn.
After playing a major role in the Battle of Long Island during
the American Revolution, Greenwood became a cemetery for fallen
soldiers of the war. The portion of the neighborhood west of the
cemetery was a very popular port, which is why housing started to
pop up here.
While still largely industrial, the population of the area grew
in the 1800's, the affordable prices attracting the working class
and the newly immigrated. The neighborhood was thriving until the
Great Depression whipped out much of the business brought in by
factories and the waterfront.
Greenwood Heights became known as an area for the impoverished
by the 1960's. It remained this way until real…
