Welcome to the Chicago Lifestyle, an Edgewater story. There is a particular kind of stillness that lives on the 22nd floor of Hollywood Towers, the kind that settles in the moment you walk through the door and find yourself face to face with Lake Michigan stretching all the way to the horizon. North facing and framed by a curved wall of windows, the view at Unit 22H is not a glimpse or a slice. It is the entire lake, the entire shoreline, the entire sky. This thoughtfully renovated one bedroom, one bathroom residence was reimagined in a single cohesive transformation, and the design choices have aged gracefully. Rich ebony hardwood floors run the full length of the open concept living and dining area, grounding the space against bright white walls and abundant natural light. The curved bay window is the architectural heart of the home, drawing the eye outward toward the water and pulling the room into something cinematic. The kitchen is fully outfitted with crisp white shaker cabinetry, speckled granite countertops, a linear glass mosaic backsplash, marble look tile flooring, and a full stainless steel appliance package. A granite breakfast bar anchors the transition between kitchen and living space. The bedroom continues the dark hardwood and offers an entire wall of mirrored closets, generous storage that doubles as a space amplifying design moment. The renovated bathroom features marble floors, subway tiled walls, a contemporary vessel sink atop a dark vanity, and a walk in shower with rainfall fixture. Solid concrete construction delivers the kind of quiet rarely found in city living. Hollywood Towers is a full service elevator high rise offering a 24 hour doorman, on site management, fitness center, package room, dry cleaner, on site convenience store in the basement, bike room, storage lockers, party room, and a seasonal outdoor pool and expansive sun deck overlooking the lake. The building sits directly adjacent to the beach, which becomes a natural extension of home from May through October. Heat, water, and trash are included in the rent. Garage parking is available within the building for an additional monthly fee. Laundry is available in the building. Then there is Edgewater itself, Chicago's quiet love affair with the lake. The Lakefront Trail is just steps from the lobby. The famed 147 Express Bus down Lake Shore Drive whisks you to the Loop in roughly twenty minutes, and the Bryn Mawr Red Line is a short walk away when you prefer rails to road. Mariano's is down the street for everyday grocery runs, with Jewel Osco a few blocks further into Andersonville. And Andersonville is the lifestyle anchor that residents talk about most, with one of the most quietly impressive independent restaurant corridors in Chicago lining Clark Street. Saturdays here unfold slowly. Coffee on Clark, an afternoon stretched out on the sun deck, dinner at a favorite trattoria, and home before you know it, twenty two floors up, the lake going dark outside the windows. Unit 22H is for the person who wants to come home to water, light, and quiet, without giving up the city that surrounds them.

EDGEWATER
About Edgewater
Edgewater is a beautiful lakefront community first developed as
a summer home for Chicago's elite. The vast Lincoln Park with its
seven miles of waterfront stretches through, almost to downtown,
bounding Edgewater to the east. It now boasts a great balance of
residential areas and commercial businesses. The eastern area along
the water is dubbed Edgewater Beach and to the west is called
Andersonville; each identifying as individual communities.
Edgewater Beach is characterized by its density of high-rise
apartment buildings jockeying for views of the lakefront, many
built in the late 1950's through early 1970's. Moving inland,
Edgewater and Andersonville are comprised of low and mid-rise
family homes and rentals as well as progressively lower-cost
apartments. Many lovely one-bedroom apartments are available for
less than $1,200 per month. Edgewater has historically quiet
neighbors to the west in the beautiful Rosehill Cemetery.
The median is solely based on the area and the number of bedrooms.
Listing-specific characteristics such as the number of bathrooms and the amenities will also impact the price.
