DESCRIPTION
I am planning to leave the country for 2-3 months this fall, and am looking for someone who is interested in subletting my apartment during that period.

My dates are quite flexible, but since the earliest I could depart would be October 10th, I am hoping that the start date will be somewhere around then (it can be earlier if needed, as I do have another place I could stay if the dates overlap a bit).

For an end date, somewhere between December 15 and and January 15 would be ideal.

The unit will be fully furnished, and I am happy to leave additional items such as my dual-monitor setup, Google Home (synced with the lights and AC), Chromecast, etc.

I absolutely love this apartment, and am looking for someone who will appreciate it as much as I do and take good care of it during my absence. As such, my ideal sublessor would be either a working professional or graduate student.

Some benefits of the apartment/building:
-Portable dishwasher (hooks up to sync, see video below for more info)
-Wall-unit air conditioners in each room
-24-hour door man
-Laundry in basement (card-operated)
-Gym in basement
-Courtyard

Neighborhood features
-Lots of excellent restaurants
-Brand-new Lidl grocery store, literally around the corner
-Morningside Park is 4 blocks west
-Central Park is 9 blocks south
-Very accessible to Columbia University

Transit options
-B/C at 116 Street
-A/B/C/D at 125 Street (A and D both go non-stop to 59th Street/Columbus Circle in about 7 minutes)
-2/3/ at 116 Street
-M7, M3, M10, M116, M60 (service to LGA), M100, M101

HARLEM

Harlem is enormous. Stretching from the East and Harlem Rivers all the way to the Hudson, Harlem has three micro-neighborhoods that make up this huge area. East or Spanish Harlem is vibrant and colorful, Central Harlem is energetic and cultural, and West Harlem is more suburban and chill. From 110th to 155th, Harlem has something for everyone.

Fun Facts and History of Harlem

Harlem is so huge that each spot has its own unique history. For example, West and Central Harlem were burned to the ground during the American Revolution, whereas East Harlem wasn't really developed until the 1860's. However, one fact remains consistent for all of Harlem: That the population of the area exploded once a prominent Black neighborhood was destroyed to make room for Central Park.

The Harlem Renaissance began around WWI and the cultural impact the neighborhood would have on the world began. Becoming a major player in the worlds of art, literature, music, and civil rights, Harlem became a mecca for…
