Looking for a someone to take over my current roommate's place in the lease! The lease will be co-signed by us with the landlord. The least will be from March 1st 2019 to March 31st 2020 (13 months).
The room has good sunlight and is bigger than most rooms in Manhattan. The apartment is also of good size with windows/sunlight in all shared areas. There are 3 bedrooms and 1 bath (female preferred).
The apartment has great location!
- 2 mins to Essex (F, M, J)
- Laundromat right downstairs
- Right around the corner for Essex street market (groceries)
- 7 mins to Target, Traders Joe, Union market
- 10 to 15 mins walk to Nolita, Soho, little Italy or Chinatown.
- Lots of restaurants and food options nearby
- $1,400 rent - you'll need to make 40x the rent to be approved
- $60 for utilities and wifi (estimate)
- $15 for shared household necessities (estimate)
- $100 background check requested by the landlord
- One month security deposit, refundable upon moving out
The apartment is 3BDR aka there will be me and another girl in the apartment :).
About me: Female, mid 20s, quiet and introverted (but down to have good conversations). I often work long hours.
Looking for someone who's okay with these rules:
- No smoking of any kind
- Can keep the common space tidy and clean; willing to clean once a week/2 weeks.
- No dish in the sink overnight
- We prefer a quiet space, so please don't bring the party home! Having friends over occasionally/periodically is ok.
Please send me your LinkedIn and a SNS profile IG/Facebook (if you have one) and a quick intro. Thanks!

The Property / Area (Lower East Side)
The 123 Rivington Street building is located in Lower East Side, Downtown Manhattan, Manhattan.
The Lower East Side was one of the first neighborhoods formed in
New York City. Due to significant gentrification in the last decade
or so, the demographics of the region has grown from what once was
a predominantly Jewish neighborhood to the very artsy and hip
community of today. Historically, the Lower East Side's housing
stock consisted of tenements, however with recent gentrification,
several luxury high-rise condo and rental buildings have sprung up.
Today, the neighborhood has become extremely popular with young
professionals and students looking to find an affordable apartment
in one of the cheaper areas in Manhattan.
The Lower East Side area is made up of the following
neighborhoods: East Village, Chinatown, Little Italy, and Noho
Neighborhood: Lower East Side
Adjacent Neighborhoods: East Village, Chinatown/Little
Population Density: Quite dense; over three times as
densely populated as the city-wide average. The streets here are
busy both day and night.
