Bostonians are known for taking their sports <i>very<\/i> seriously. Now there is another major reason for them to pile into the best local sports establishments.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.renthop.com\/content-manager\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/Picture1.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-5337\" src=\"https:\/\/www.renthop.com\/content-manager\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/Picture1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"750\" height=\"498\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h3><strong>This past Sunday, the selection committee set the 68-team field for the annual ascent into March Madness<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The NCAA Basketball Championship Tournament officially started Tuesday (March 14<sup>th<\/sup>) with the <i>First Four<\/i> and goes through the <i>Final Four<\/i> on April 1<sup>st<\/sup> and 3<sup>rd<\/sup>. The first week is notorious for capturing some of the most intense tournament drama, with early round upsets putting the madness in March Madness. Although there are no Boston-based teams in the tournament this year, it\u2019s still a great excuse to indulge.<\/p>\n<p>Many sports analysts are calling this the most competitive bracket in years, ensuring that there will be a bevy of buzzer beaters. With this in mind, the data science team at RentHop wanted to equip you with a tool to navigate the scene. <strong>We\u2019ve compiled a list of all the sports bars and grilles in the Boston\/Cambridge area where you can check out the action, and mapped them by neighborhood.<\/strong> Some neighborhoods are more densely populated with sports bars than others, like West End, Jamaica Plain, or Harvard Square. If you are looking for a big screen to watch the game, enjoy some sensational food or ice cold local beer; you&#8217;ll find just what you want in any one of them.<\/p>\n<div style=\"position: relative; overflow: hidden; max-width: 700px; width: 100%; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;\">\n<div style=\"padding-bottom: 70%; height: 0px; position: relative; width: 100%;\">\n<div style=\"position: absolute; height: 100%; width: 100%;\" align=\"center\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.renthop.com\/study\/assets\/boston-ma-march-madness-2017\/boston-march-madness-map.html\" width=\"100%\" height=\"100%\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><br \/>\n<\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><strong>The neighborhoods that had the highest volume of sports bars and grilles include:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Back Bay<\/strong> \u2013 56 establishments<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li><strong>Harvard Square<\/strong> \u2013 37 establishments<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol start=\"3\">\n<li><strong>South Boston<\/strong> \u2013 35 establishments<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol start=\"4\">\n<li><strong>Fenway<\/strong> \u2013 28 establishments<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol start=\"5\">\n<li><strong>Dorchester<\/strong> \u2013 26 establishments<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>A few of the more underrated neighborhoods include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Charlestown<\/strong> \u2013 14 establishments<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li><strong>Porter Square<\/strong> \u2013 9 establishments<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol start=\"3\">\n<li><strong>Coolidge Corner<\/strong> \u2013 5 establishments<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Consistent demographic data was not available for the entire Boston area in order to normalize on a per capita basis.
