Originally hailing from Texas, Mekkie has spent over the last twelve years living in Harlem. After falling in love with New York City, she decided that there was no other place that she wanted to be. Upon arrival Mekkie decided that it was time for a new challenge, and she turned her passion for helping people to real estate.
Having using her Harlem apartment as a room rental for Columbia University students and young professionals, lead to her becoming a licensed real estate agent. Mekkie has never been a stranger to the real estate business. It also didn't hurt that she graduated from Howard University with a degree in Communications.
